Just wanted to post up here that I'm still a largely, if not completely satisfied Obama voter. Do I love every move he's made? Nope. Am I happy overall with what this guy has done? Yupperdoodole.
So here's the thing...I pay attention to politics, follow as best I can the dealings of my country (more than Glenn Beck pretneds to anyway), and I am more or less content with the job Obama has done so far. I feel like he's given healthcare reform as much, if not more attentiosn than any president in the last 40 years. I believe he's addressing the biggest econopmic meltdown of our generation in as politically expedient a manner as possible. I think he's working on issues related to the detention of enemy foreign combatants in as practically and effective a way as the current political cliamte will allow. Do I think he's doing everything he needs to do to most effectively shape the future of our Republic? Not by a long shot. Taken together though, I amn still super-psyched that Barack Hussein Obama is my President.
I'm sure I'll be disregarded by some on here as a koolaid drinking zealot. OK...fine. If it makes you feel better to categorize me, then more pwer to you. All I'm saying is that, given the chance to do so today, even if someone with a governing philsophy I perceive as even closer to my own, I would vote to re-elect Obama 100 times out of 100. If asked, I'd give him the highest approval rating I'd be allowed to give. Put simply, I think he's doing exactly what I thought he'd do when I worked, and voted for him in 2008.
I just watched his stump speech from the Indiana primary in 2008. Fact is, I can't find one statement from the entire 1.5+ hour talk that he has contradicted since taking office in January. Just wanted to throw this supportive statement out there.
What evs.
