I don’t know how to do this (or even if it is a good idea) but I’m thinking about setting up a fund raising group for Blue Dogs trying to stop health care reform. This might sound silly, so suggestions are appreciated.
I’m thinking the PAC (maybe not a technical PAC but for a better name) should have a neat name like, "I Helped Stop Health Care Reform." Now we get people (like you) to donate money - I recommend $0.01. Then we distribute the money to Blue Dogs who voted against health reform. We don’t publish the actually dollar amount but maybe the percent of our fund raising given to their cause. Or maybe no monetary amounts - just send articles to their newspapers that the "I Helped Stop Health Care Reform" group donated to their campaigns.
Not sure how (or even if possible) to do this, but we might contact all the Blue Dogs and let them know they will be receiving funds from the "I Helped Stop Health Care Reform" PAC. And let their local newspapers know that such a PAC is being set up for them.
Is this stupid?
I’m at the stage where I recognize logic has no impact on some creatures. Trying to think outside the box.
