The right will constantly claim that the majority of Americans are Christians. They'll claim even more so, that we were founded as a "Christian Nation."
Recently I noted the following in a letter to my Congressman:
In the Bible, in Matthew 25, there is a parable about Sheep and Goats. God judges the sheep and the goats, and tells the goats, "I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me."
The goats are confused, and ask when they refused him. God responds: "Whenever you failed to do one of these things to someone who was being overlooked or ignored, that was me—you failed to do it to me."
How can a nation where we do this to others be ever considered Christian?
Under the Bibles own definition we spit on their God every single day...
