I posted a diary yesterday about this Survey USA poll and I thought it would be touted and shouted far and wide as proof Americans support a public option if they are given the CHOICE between the PO and a private plan. Survey USA found 77% of Americans support a CHOICE between a public plan and a private plan.
More than three out of every four Americans feel it is important to have a "choice" between a government-run health care insurance option and private coverage, according to a public opinion poll released on Thursday.
A new study by SurveyUSA puts support for a public option at a robust 77 percent, one percentage point higher than where it stood in June.

There was another diary on Daily Kos about this poll, a front page item about it and a Huff Post article about it, but other than that nada, zip, zilch. Am I missing something? Shouldn't this be OUTSTANDING NEWS and something that should be mentioned by all politicians/others who support a public option at any and all opportunities?
Did people not hear about the poll, not read it? What gives? I really don't get why this poll would not be trumpeted as proof America supports the choice of a public option.
Anyone have a good reason why it isn't?
