Don't you hate it when that rancid excuse for a human being is actually right about something?
When [Cindy Sheehan is] out there revving up people against George W. Bush, it's, let's cover her 24/7, let's make sure we have our cameras out there outside Bush's ranch when she's there, whatever she's saying, whatever she's doing, if she goes down and meets with Hugo Chavez, our cameras will be there. They could not get enough of her. Now that she's headed to Martha's Vineyard... leave it alone, get out, we're not interested, we're not going to cover you going to Martha's Vineyard because our guy is president now and you're just a hassle. You're just a problem. To these people, they never had any true, genuine emotional interest in her. She was just a pawn. She was just a woman to be used and then thrown overboard once they're through with her and they're through with her. They don't want any part of Cindy Sheehan protesting against any war when Obama happens to be president.

Don't believe him?
Touting "an exclusive interview with Cindy Sheehan" on Good Morning America, four years ago ABC anchorman Charles Gibson intoned: "Standing her ground. She lost her son in Iraq, she opposes the war, now she’s camped out at President Bush’s ranch and says she won’t leave until he meets with her." ...
That was then. This is now: in an interview [.mp3] with Chicago’s WLS radio on Aug. 18, Gibson was asked whether his network planned to cover Sheehan’s plans to travel to Martha’s Vineyard, where she is protesting the escalation of the war in Afghanistan while President Obama is vacationing there. Gibson’s answer:
"Enough already."

Well, who isn't sick of hearing about Iraq by now? Besides, we're just two Friedman units away from being completely withdrawn! [Except, of course, for the 50,000 troops that are staying there forever.]
And it would hardly be fair to blame Obama for escalating the war in Afghanistan. As a candidate, he may have lied about telecom immunity - but he was completely upfront about his plans to keep American pipelines... I mean, lives safe by stretching that miserable country a little further on the imperialist rack. We didn't pay any attention - grooving as we were on the hope and the change - but that's not his fault.
And if he appears to be starting a third war in Pakistan, so what? Surely the civilians scooping up what remains of their loved ones after our drone bombers get through with them will understand the difference between dying for George W. Bush and dying for Barack Obama. Obama is pro-choice!
Or maybe not...
The new administration’s under secretary of state for public diplomacy and public affairs, Judith A. McHale, met a group of Pakistani journalists, including Ansar Abbasi, an important commentator critical of U.S. policy. She spoke warmly of U.S.-Pakistani relations, and Abbasi politely listened, thanking her for coming. He then, according to McHale afterward, said, "You should know that we hate all Americans. From the bottom of our souls, we hate you."

Well, in any event, the last thing we can afford to do now is call Obama's warmongering for what it is. It could only jeopardize health care reform.
How's that coming, by the way?
