In a health care debate thread at another site which I frequent, someone quoted this report over at the Heritage Foundation suggesting that administrative overhead is actually higher for Medicare than is for private insurers.
The Heritage Foundation is not exactly what I would consider an objective source for information. When I tried to read through that article, I could feel my eyes glazing over, and I really don't have much of a background to be able to analyze what they say in it. I'm hoping someone with a bit of accounting background can examine their claims and comment as to whether they have valid points, or if it's just a bunch of corporatist propaganda.
