I woke up and moused onto Daily Kos this a.m. and was greeted by this odd graphic surrounding the Daily Kos page. To me, it's offensive. It smells suspiciously like GOP media snark trying to infiltrate KOS. How did it get here and why, why do I have to look at this? Is this some kind of provocative peace/piece? Not sure. Is Kos so hurting for cash that this background is for sale to whomever?
Yup, free speech: a free media. But I'm wondering what this is about. The title is certainly disturbing, since it lacks balance . . . this is hardly a war begun by President Obama . . . a man who has been left to clean up a great deal of Bush Era doo-doo all over our nation and around the world.
Is this something we Kossacks are expected to view in the name of liberal, progressive interest, or is it a Murdoch style feature intended to mischaracterize and sanitize past history by scapegoating the First Brown-Skinned President by associating him with the War in a big way . . . a war that he inherited. Why no corresponding "BUSH'S WAR" background in any prior year.
Who buys this space and why? Can anyone do this?
Just wondering about this program, who is generating this and why it commands the entire perimeter of Daily Kos under this particular title.
It may be timely, spot on and thought provolking, but the title seems deliberately misleading, and frankly would make a great way for the right to try to shift the focus away from torture and violations of the Geneva Conventions, by attempting to equivocate with the current President.
If I'm missing something, I ask you to enlighten me.
