Today several anonymous sources have confirmed that 8 of the 16 major health care insurance providers have revised their preexisting condition rules. The decisions to move forward with these rules were made after being confronted with reports that they are covertly rescinding policies of people that are suspected of being victims of abuse. Several sources inside the insurance industry have confirmed these reports.
According to credible sources these insurers have reserved the right to rescind policies of policy holders that have withheld evidence of sneezing, hiccups, broken fingernails and intestinal gas. Irregardless of payment history or previous claims history sources have described a zero tolerance policy with regard to such deceptions. With record profits and multimillion dollar executive salaries the companies have decided they can no longer afford to cover such high risk patients.
"These sick people are bleeding us dry. Who is going to pay for my Rolls?" said an industry official who wished to remain anonymous citing pending litigation.
"This is a sign that the free market is working. Can you imagine everyone expecting treatment for every little hemorrhoidal itch under a public option?" said an unnamed staffer of a prominent GOP Senator.
This reporter has major concerns about the survival of the private health insurance industry in this country. Please dig deep into your pockets and help support this endangered industry. I just hope they don't find out about that jock itch I had last year.
