What a cap to a perfect week....
Obama bombs the moon to see if there's enough water for our return.
That same day he wins the Nobel Peace Prize.
Then on Saturday night he promises to overturn DADT.
That's one hell of a week, and I wonder if that Saturday Night Live sketch really got you so mad you arranged all of that on Sunday....
So the rec list and the diary roll has been full of what I think of as DAMMIT OBAMA diaries, decrying this and that, not enough this, too much of that, how dare you, why haven't you, any fool would know you should, etc etc etc etc STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOP!
I just thought I would make a little diary here -- in case President Obama is actually droogie or trix or one of the drop-by commenters -- to tell him thank you for his promise on Saturday night.
Cue the commenters screaming that promises are cheap,he won't follow through, why no timeline etc etc etc you know the drill
I am inclined to trust promises from Barack Obama, because so far every promise he made in the campaign has been something about which he has taken positive action in the last nine crazy busy months.
Thanks, Mr. President. Overturning Don't Ask Don't Tell may enrage the shrinking pool of righties, but it will be much less a big deal in the rest of the country.
