Hi All, this short diary is intended to provide a forum for anecdotal information about the vote today.
If you would like to share your experiences and thoughts and reactions to the vote and if there is any news that comes out of it, then all the better.
The reason I thought about this diary is because I came across some information that surprised me when I just voted.
My contribution is:
I just voted in Northern New Jersey and the poll workers were all very surprised and said
that the turnout had been "amazing," "incredible" and they said that "whatever the results, it would be the result of the popular vote."
So whatever that is worth, I found it interesting, because in NJ I think that the higher the turnout, the greater chance for the D-Team winning. Don't know in other parts of NJ.
Did you have any interesting observations today? What are the local campaigns talking about?

I voted around 9am in a largely Democratic community. The ladies checking me in said the turnout was consistent at that point (no long lags with no one voting). I'm trying to find out more on the news regarding turnout around the state thus far. Good turnout in towns like this is most definitely a plus for Corzine.
101.5 FM radio, Corzine-haters, are all upset about Daggett, the Independent candidate and likely spoiler for Christie. They claim he supposedly had a number of his recent robocalls paid for by a Democratic organization in one of the counties (don't remember which one). This has not been widely confirmed or publicized yet but it's adding to my amusement as the day turns into a vote-counting night...

There was virtually no Democratic presence here in Fairfax County. I would imagine this district would have a good D population, but there were a ton of signs for all the Republican candidates, and only one for a Democrat.
The Republican candidate for delegate was greeting at the door. There were maybe six to ten people standing around a table handing out sample ballots. Further up there was one sad looking guy handing out Democratic sample ballots.
Where have the Democrats been in this election?
