During the primaries, when MyDD become “the Hillary site,” I wondered why a site would allow itself to drive itself into irrelevance. Now I’m wondering the same about DKos. While the rest of the progressive world (Keith Olbermann, Jon Stewart, Glenn Greenwald, Ed Schultz, AmericaBlog, HuffingtonPost, just to name a few) is questioning Obama’s broken promises and timidity in standing up for what Candidate Obama outlined as his goals, DKos can’t seem to get beyond being his dewy-eyed cheerleader. And there are some real, legitimate concerns about the Obama Presidency.
Here's just a few:
On change:
In an e-mail sent our this morning, the OFA informs us that Barack Obama's election was not really about "change." His election was:
"[O]nly an opportunity to make [change] a reality and that everyone's continued support would be necessary to bring about lasting change."
On Wall Street regulation:

On gay rights:
Candidate “Fierce Advocate” Obama hasn’t yet stopped the firing of competent gay military personnel, something he could do with a stroke of a pen. His DOJ fights to keep DOMA on the books.

On healthcare reform:

“I’ve not been very happy with the White House’s lukewarm support of the public option,” [Senator Tom Harkin] said, articulating a gripe liberals have been making for months.
Yet, when someone dares to bring these concerns to DKos, more often than not, they are skewered with unbelievable ire.
Why is that? Can anyone explain it to me? Thanks!
