One, how did Lindsey Graham and Lieberman become "key" senators?
I've seen that a number of times yesterday and today in various media outlets. Lieberman (He's with us on everything but, but, but) may be a "key" obstructionist. But Graham is no more "key" to the discussion than the 39 other "NO VOTES" in the Senate.
And two (2), Why don't journalist/reporters/anchors etc. have a basic of basic knowledge and understanding of politics, government and how it works
The lead headline in my local paper this morning read "House Health Care Bill Stalled". Apparently, based on the comment by Graham that the will is DOA when it reaches the Senate. Apparently NO ONE (including Graham)is aware that the Senate will not debate the House bill, but will in fact vote on their own Health Care Bill (hopefully passing it) and then it will go to "conference" where the differences will be ironed out.
If I am wrong on this please let me know.
