A little schadenfreude? Things have been getting increasingly weird at the Washington Times.
The stories and rumors started this weekend, with word of firings at the top level of Moon's money-losing paper on Sunday. Talking Points Memo has been following the story as it gets weirder and weirder. And today, with reports of armed guards separating management from the employees, it has gone full fledged bizarre.
Links after the fold.
A quick link to three recent stories via TPM.
First, Sunday night, three top executives were ousted (this story is at Politico).
Then it was reported that John Solomon, who has been executive editor since January 2008, may also be leaving. Many of us here know the name John Solomon as an author of blatantly-biased AP articles.
In fact, it turns out Solomon hasn't actually been seen at work since the weekend. Nobody knows for sure what he's doing.
Well, then today it got even weirder. The management floor is now guarded by armed guards and employees are being told that floor is "closed".
Is the Washington Times imploding?
