Although Kos for some reason didn't seem willing to confirm it himself, there is no doubt that "Daily Kos" is boycotting Barack Obama.
Kos says:
Now the DNC is a bit different, because I have lent my name to Americablog's Don't Ask, Don't Give pledge.
First of all, this is not 100% accurate. Kos did not lend "his name," as in "Markos Moulitsas," to the Americablog boycott. Rather, he lent this blog's name, as the plain text of the boycott statement confirms:
Until the Democratic Congress passes, and President Obama signs, legislation enacting ENDA, repealing DADT, and repealing DOMA, we ask you to join us in pledging to postpone contributions to the Democratic National Committee, Organizing for America, and the Obama campaign. This temporary (we hope) boycott is sponsored by AMERICAblog, and cosponsored by Daily Kos, Michelangelo Signorile, and Paul Sousa, among others.

But of course, that's not the only significant fact that's revealed by looking at the words of the boycott itself. Although Kos seems reluctant to cop to it, the boycott is not just of the DNC but is also of "Organizing for America and the Obama Campaign"
The "URL" for Organizing for America is www.barackobama.com. And yes, that is with Barack Obama's permission. OFA is, of course, "the successor organization to Obama for America" which elected Obama President. And it presumably is the organization that will fund Obama's reelection campaign. (If it isn't, though, don't worry, the boycott makes clear that we should also boycott "the Obama campaign").
So there it is. Daily Kos is boycotting Barack Obama and his campaign for reelection. Presumably, if the boycott's legislative benchmarks aren't achieved by 2012, the boycott will still be in effect. Perhaps, then, Daily Kos will support a third party candidate. Ralph Nader would be proud.
