I am not surprised at the fictional stories the so called Republicans continue to verbalize on the house floor. They have become so pathetic that they have to make up stories about what the White House and/or POTUS is not doing.
Follow me below the fold. If anyone can find the clip from this afternoon, I tried to find it on C-SPAN, please let me know so I can update and everyone can hear the lies this so called Representative of the 1st District in LA regurgitated.
Today Representative Steve Scalise went to the House floor to spew yet another Republican untruth. He brought in a chart with big letters demanding to know "WHERE ARE THE JOBS(?)" First he did not even have a question mark, which does not surprise me he does not know what a question mark is. He went on to say that President Obama has not kept his promise of being transparent about the job creation from the Stimulus Package, some 700+ billion dollars. He continued to make up a story about the website where one can track where the money is being spent, RECOVERY.GOV. He claimed that this website shows that Louisiana has 27 districts and that the website shows that District 15 has been awarded a certain amount of money. Yes, he was surprised that the RECOVERY.GOV website was given incorrect information. He claims that someone called the White House about the alleged misinformation on the website. He then quoted that someone in charge told the imaginary person, "Who knows" - referring to where the money is going.
He proceeded to attack the administration because we all know that LA only has 7 Districts and that President Obama is lying and misleading the country in regards to the Stimulus Package and the job creation is suppose to initiate.
Well, I went to the site and found out that Rep. Steve Scalise is not telling the truth or he is just taking someone else's word as truth because the website clearly shows the amount of money that his District is receiving and the quantity of jobs being created.
I can't believe we let these people speak lie after lie and continue to cheat their own constituents about what the truth is.
Is there something we can do about holding to account each and every Representative who speaks fiction on the House floor, most likely knowing that it is not true what he/she is saying at that moment.
I am open to suggestions.
If someone else has written about this please forgive my redundancy. I just needed to vent about what I heard this afternoon on C-SPAN.
Republicans, please open your eyes and listen to the people you are suppose to represent.
CREATE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!
