In my previous post, I recognized that my poll results could easily be skewed based on a person's health condition, so I have devised a new poll, which I hope is an improvement.
And in reply to a comment by quantumspin about what my point was here, I thought I would elaborate.
There really isn't a point so much as I'm just trying to get a handle around my mind why health care reform is so difficult to accomplish in this country.
Is it because most people in this country are not sick, and are unaware of inequities and problems with our health care system?
Is it because most people have a vested interest in the current system, they would be harmed by change?
Or is it because, we are such a selfish, divided people, we couldn't care less about the misfortunes of others, and are even willing to cut our own throats to ensure those who aren't like us, or those we don't like, get something beneficial to them?
For the life of me, I just can't figure it out, and I'm hoping someone can enlighten me.
NOTE: I'm sorry the poll seems a little onerous, but I was trying to cover all the possibilities.
