I rarely post diaries - at times I feel like we're all preaching to the choir. No longer.
The following quote from the White House today is such chutzpah, and in looking up the definition, one comes back as:
Chutzpah (pronounced /ˈxʊtspə/) is the quality of audacity, for good or for bad.
So in my humble opinion, with a Democratic White House, Senate and House, giving up on a public option and Medicare buy-in to the fierce opposition of the base that in no small measure got you elected, is truly AUDACITY.
This is not change I can believe in. Not at all. This is more of the same, and it makes me so very sad to say so.
'Empty' climate deal worse than no deal: White House

An "empty" climate deal at UN talks in Copenhagen would be worse than reaching no deal at all, a White House spokesman said Thursday.
"Coming back with an empty agreement would be far worse than coming back empty handed," said spokesman Robert Gibbs, as President Barack Obama prepared to leave Washington and head to the talks.
How can the White House publicly apply such logic to a climate deal, while at the same time the people who broke their backs electing Democrats are shouted down by the same White House for voicing the same logic?
Audacious. Truly audacious.
