According to ABC News' Jim Sciutto, Zahra Rahnavard has been arrested today in the Iranian capital of Tehran. The wife of Mir Hossein Mousavi broke traditions throughout the election by campaigning alongside her husband, earning admiration from many of Iran's young women.
While this crooked regime claims so often to have God on their side, it is clear that the opposition has joined the side of God.
There are also reports that Seyid Ali Mousavi, the martyred-nephew of Mir Hossein Mousavi, has been buried quietly beneath the watchful eyes of the paid-thugs.(CNN) The government's confiscation of the body for several days following his death on Ashura may have prevented some rallies and demonstrations in the most immediate of short-terms, but will not prevent this coming Sunday from becoming another day for the celebration of the martyred. In short, I do not see the wisdom in the government's seizure of a Seyid's body- I think this only reinforces my opinion that the regime is rattled, frazzled, and utterly incapable of coherent action.
This is going to get worse before it gets better.
Update:
Enduring America, following opposition websites, is also hearing reports about Zahra Rahnavard's detention.
A reformist member of the Parliament has also had his house set ablaze.
Thugs. That's what they are and that's all that they are.
Update II:
New rumor floating is that Ali Beheshti, a top aide to Mousavi that was arrested by the thugs, has gone on a hunger strike in prison.
