Hey! Remember yesterday when the Heritage Foundation made that clever little joke about sending G.W. Bush to Haiti and we all had a good laugh because that was obviously the worst idea anyone could have had, under the circumstances? And of course we were a little bit angry because the whole thing was mean-spirited and insistent that it was Obama's duty to continually offer the GOP "bipartisanship" handouts despite a consistent lack of anything but insult in return.
Well, according to the Wall Street Journal, he likely wind up there yet, albeit about as late and after-the-fact as he wound up in New Orleans.
Seeing how the Heritage Foundation's idea of sending Bush over was only step one in their cartoonishly evil grand plan to wreck the nation, followed by steps:
2) Use this wonderful opportunity to spend our military like the world's police force, blockading Haiti in order to crush that Drug Lord/Communist/Terrorist/Generalized Evil-Doer Huge Chavez from using this opportunity to important thousands of tons of cocaine, which he obviously would be doing otherwise. If there's one thing that defines the Chavez regime, it's the way he always has his child-molesting henchmen personally import cocaine into regions recently struck by natural disasters.
3) Now that their infrastructure is in total shambles, this is the perfect chance to help them institute some real solid Freedom and Democracy, Milton-Friedman-by-way-of-Naomi-Klein style, natch.
and
4) While we're there, it'd be a heinous waste NOT to distribute anti-Castro and anti-Chavez propaganda!
I guess it only makes sense that now that they've put step 1 into effect, folks'll be moving quick onto using the tragedy in Haiti as an opportunity to make money. I wonder who's going to get caught doing it first. What in the hell is wrong with people.
