Can you see it, in your crystal ball, the 2012 election. Forget Palin, Forget Obama. The top candidates won't be Republican or Democrat. They will be Corporations.
Mr. AT&T will promise us all lower cell phone bills and better coverage. No more dropped calls, no more overage charges. Of course, we know campaign promises are rarely kept. Cellphone charges will indeed go up, and calls will be dropped.
Mr. Natural Gas will promise to build more power plants, and charge less to heat our homes. But, he will hire all his friends to build the plants and they will charge 4 times more for them. As for heating costs going down? Yeah, right.
Mr. Evangelical Church will run against abortion, gay marriage, etc. You didn't think Churches were people? Hah! Freedom of speech.
No more will it be us on the ground, fighting for OUR candidate to get elected. There won't be enough available airtime for US to buy commercials. Especially when Mr. NBC is running for office. (He needs tort reform so the next Conan can't get a fair buyout.)
We won't need to worry about prescription costs after Mr. Pharma's campaign speeches. Can't afford health insurance? Let Mr. Insurance's campaign take care of you.
The list goes on and on, but you get the picture.
