I remember reading this small dairy "Make them filibuster." back in December. While I agreed with it I thought it was a lost cause.  Now, I am wondering: Why is this so difficult?  It is rather simple. Why oh why.  MAKE THEM FILIBUSTER, FORCE THEM TO FILIBUSTER.  Whatever phrase makes sense.

Let the GOP show themselves for the ugly self-serving corporate thugs that they truly are.

We have the magic bullet, the anvil and the sword.  It only works when we are right.  <--correct not the other other "right".</p>

Let them filibuster. You realize how great they're going to look, these Republicans, trying not to go to the bathroom?

I have seen how demonizing the "Democrat" party has been the name of the game since "Saint" Ronny.  Framing issues is very important. James Carville started framing with his point that the terrorists are not soldiers they are criminals. (<--that requires another diary.  Any takers?)</p>

Framing the GOP as obstructionist and even reactionary demons is essential.

Only the Filibuster can reveal the true face of the GOP.

Here is the history of the filibuster from a Daily Kos diarist.

A brief look at "let them filibuster" on google should make it clear.

My fellow kosacs I implore you to ask for our Dems to push for the filibuster.  It is a winning strategy.

Let them filibuster. You realize how great they're going to look, these Republicans, trying not to go to the bathroom?

Can we get behind this idea?  Let us push it.  Can we all imagine the GOB filibustering for days, weeks and months?   Wow, I can only see the headlines.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
