I think all of us should face reality with Obama. There is currently a diary in the recommended list that attacks Arianna Huffington for her choice of words in describing what Obama said.
Although the words that Arianna Huffington used might not have been ideal, they clearly reflected the spirit of what Obama said.
And there is more. Now, Paul Krugman wrote this article in the New York Times that criticizes strongly Obama on the same issue. From the link above, here is what Krugman wrote:
Oh. My. God.
and later:
And at the very least, you would think that Obama would understand the importance of acknowledging public anger over what’s happening.
But no. If the Bloomberg story is to be believed, Obama thinks his key to electoral success is to trumpet "the influence corporate leaders have had on his economic policies."
Denial of reality, as reflected in the diary in the recommended list can not change facts.
Many here are trying to convince themselves that everyone else is wrong, while Obama is always right and/or Obama has a "secret plan" in his mind that the rest of us dont get". Unfortunately, the facts suggest something else. That Obama is simply a center-right politician, not very interested in real change. The corporate interests have nothing to worry from the Obama administration. His own words are a reassurance to them.
