Forget about HRC, Afghanistan, or other important issue. I just found that President Obama wasn't the courageous warrior that I thought. I'm really disappointed. You won't believe what I just found out. According to TIME Magazine, the White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, said that President would like to appear on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart, but not the Colbert Report.
This is simple outrageous as Stephen Colbert would say. Why just The Daily Show ? No love for Stephen Colbert ? This is just unfair :(
Robert Gibbs told TIME's Michael Scherer that Barack Obama would love to be Jon Stewart's Guest but not Stepen's. Apparently, the White House is scared of Stephen Colbert.
"I think the President would love to, just maybe not Colbert (...)I have yet to see a politician best Stephen Colbert in an interview on his show,I mean, he's really, really good." Gibbs told Scherer.
So the Most Powerful man on Earth is scared of Stephen Colbert. That makes Colbert the Most Powerful person in the World LOL. Go Stephen.
I wonder how Colbert will take that snub from the Commander-In-Chief. I bet when he returns from Vancouver, Colbert will call out Robert Gibbs for snubbing his show. We all know that Colbert is going to jump on this "controversial" comment. I just can't wait. LOL
Gibbs went on to say that he was surprised to learn that no president before Barack Obama had ever appeared on a Late night show :
I actually, truth be told, was shocked that basically [David] Axelrod and I were the first two people in the history of the republic to decide to put the President of the United States on Leno and Letterman. It was two of the easiest decisions that we had to make. Tons of people are watching it, and different types of people.
UPDATE
Comedy Central responded through Talking Points Memo :
"The President has an open invitation to appear on The Daily Show and The Colbert Report anytime he wants to," Comedy Central spokesman Steve Albani told Greg Sargent.
