According to Think progress Rush Limbaugh is threatening (Or promising) to leave the country if health care reform passes.
While normally this would be a welcome development, and I'd offer to help him pack, it's where he's threatening to go that has me all upset.
He's Threatening to go to Costa Rica. I've wanted to go there for years, and even threatened to move there if John McCain won the last election. I've thought it might be a nice place to retire to, if the lunatic right takes over here. Beautiful beaches, rainforest, volcanoes. Some of the most diverse, beautiful protected land on the planet.
I've got to stop him.
The good news is this:
Costa Rica has universal health care!
Costa Rica's Government-Run Health Care System
With a government-sponsored network of more than 30 hospitals and more than 250 clinics throughout the country, the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) has primary responsibility for providing low-cost health care services to the Costa Rican populace. Although sometimes overburdened, this system has worked well for Costa Ricans for the past 60 or so years. Open not just to Costa Rican residents, the CCSS provides affordable medical service to any foreign resident or visitor. Foreigners living in Costa Rica can join the CCSS by paying a small monthly fee--based on income--or they can buy health insurance from the state monopoly Instituto de Seguro Nacional (INS), valid with over 200 affiliated doctors, hospitals, labs, and pharmacies in the private sector.

Of course Rush really doesn't want to go to Costa Rica, because not only do they have Government Controlled Health Care, It's Chock Full of environmentalists! And "Socialists!" and "liberals"! Heck 25% of the land in Costa Rica is Government owned National Parks!
Politically, Costa Rica doesn't seem like a good fit for Rush either. check this out:
In February 2010, President-elect Laura Chinchilla of the National Liberation Party (PLN) won the popular election with 46.72 % of the vote, defeating principal rivals Ottón Solis of the Civil Action Party (PAC) and Otto Guevara of the Libertarian Movement (ML). Throughout her campaign, Chinchilla’s primary message was strengthening security; her platform also included improvement of the country’s infrastructure, creation of a progressive income tax and expanding jobs through a “green jobs” initiative, better living conditions for children and senior citizens, and supporting women’s issues. Following the 2010 elections, the 57-member unicameral Legislative Assembly fragmented into several parties, with no faction having a plurality--the PLN won 23 seats, the PAC 12 seats, ML has 9 seats, the Social Christian Unity Party (PUSC) has 6 seats, and the remaining seats are split among lesser known parties.

So Rush, If you're planning to go Galt because you don't like to lose,(A very patriotic position to hold, NOT) I have a few more appropriate locations for you. Since you don't want "Government Controlled Health Care" you'll have to think outside the box.
I hear in Somalia there's no Government controlled health care, and very few regulations on business. You can go there and do whatever the heck you want without Government on your back, since there is no government to speak of.
Ok,Rush, I can't seem to find any other places that don't have Government health care. Perhaps my friends can help us out. Where should Rush go to get away from"Government Run Health Care"?
