I came home from my first night seder and made the mistake of looking at the computer. I saw this:
Health care law too costly, most say
As my wife always says, "ask a stupid question…" Either the law will cost a lot of money or it won't. Either there's a projection of that, or there's not. Last I checked the law saved over a trillion dollars over the next 20 years, so who gives a shit what "most say." They're idiots.
Then there's this: "[p]luralities say it will make coverage and quality of care worse for them. By 50%-21%, they predict it will make their costs higher." Idiots.
Unless this poll is a measure of Republican spin efficacy, I don't know what the hell it's for. People seriously believe that this law is a direct wealth transfer type of program. Idiots.
Oh, wait, there's more:
Half call passage of the bill "a bad thing" and 47% "a good thing." That differs from a one-day USA TODAY poll taken March 22 — a day after the House approved the legislation — in which a 49%-40% plurality called the bill "a good thing."
If that's correct, that means 10% of people changed their minds in a week, after changing their minds before that? Even though I want them to like the law, this 10% of people who are obviously just going with whatever tone the news reporting takes are… idiots.
Oh, and 53% say it was "an abuse of power." Idiots. I wonder if 53% of people think that the entire Bush administration was a continuing abuse of power for 8 years. Well, longer than that since they started abusing power with Katherine Harris before his fake inauguration.
Now, here's the crown jewel of idiocy:
49% of people blame the victims. 49% say the attacks on the Democrats, the threats, the vandalism, etc. is the fault of the "Democratic tactics." I-DI-OTS.
And then there's a picture of some idiot with a sign saying "No more Waste. Pork. Baliouts. It's our future." Well, a lesser idiot than normal—at least there are no unnecessarily apostrophed plurals. But... a bailout?
Half the people think the fucking HCR law was an abuse of power handout? Half!?!! Some of those people are just Republicans and are beyond help. But a substantial portion are just idiots.
