I was on Facebook the other day reading inspiring quotes from a motivational speaker when he made this suggestion:
Glenn K. Garnes:
So, now we have a Democrat Party, a Republican Party, a Tea Party, a Coffee Party (just saw this one on FB today), and a Libertarian Party. I say we start a Hot Chocolate Party for people who just want to enjoy each other's company and do it without worrying about stupid political labels. So, would anyone like to ...join me? You get a real cool Hershey mug for joining. LOL!:
The next day (today) he set up a page for it with this mission:
The Hot Chocolate Party
This group is for people that are tired of politics, political labels, political people, and debating issues that divide our community. The Hot Chocolate Party was created so we can brainstorm and mastermind together and discuss ways we can work together to improve our communities and quality of life for everyone, without pitting people against each other.

12 members so far -- it can be whatever we make of it.
I know that this is not the right thing for many Kossacks, but if you are someone who is attracted to the idea of communicating with other people who will hopefully put political strategizing behind them to try to work out better community solutions...well, maybe this is something that could take us there.
Or not.
It's our choice.
