This is a rage diary about a sophisticated credit card scam and I am tired of these criminals getting away with their rip off.
If you Google "Cardholder Services" you will find a variety of people commenting about this scam and how annoying it is.
We receive these calls on a 90 day cycle, usually twice within days, every 90 days, despite being on the Do Not Call Registry.
Many unscrupulous telemarketers have attempted to disguise their call back number using numbers that are currently unregistered numbers, or appear as 'Unknown' or all zeroes as the call back number.
I suspect however, that the FCC might have cracked down on this some. Why?
"CardHolder Services" seems to have implemented a much more sophisticated caller ID FRAUD. I received a call from them today, and the call back number is registered to our local school district!
I am not sure how they do this. Maybe we have some telecom engineers in the audience who can explain how they do it, and how many culpable parties are there in this scam.
This is fraud on steroids. These people need to be caught. Luckily, I have educated my elderly mother about how to recognize who is a legitimate caller and who is not. But I am sure there are many people out there who have been caught by scum bags who prey on the elderly.
Rot in prison, motherfuckers.
