I heard about this web page yesterday, so today I went and joined the board as a disabled veteran I have the right to comment on politics, and even the President of the United States, active duty military members do not have the same rights, they are subject to the Uniformed Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).
Making anti government statements can get them court martialed, or given non-judicial punishment such as an Article 15, where they can be fined, given extra duty, restricted to their barracks or to the base. It is pretty much a decision that is made by their Commanding Officer.

as a disabled vet I can write or say pretty much what I please, as a serving NCO I would have never put my name to a group that has pictures of the President as a Nazi, or a title calling him a socialist and I was in during some pretty bad Presidencies, Nixon, Ford, Carter and Ronald Reagan as an active duty military member you give up some of your first amendment rights to "free speech" and you can NOT appear at campaign events in uniform it's covered by the UCMJ there is a fine line of what is acceptable and what is not I would have a very hard time justifying belonging to a group like this as a serving NCO, or enlisted man or as an officer. There are some things that serving military just are not allowed to do, you can even be held responsible for things your dependents do as their sponsor you are held accountable by the military for their behavior on military bases and if their conduct off base reflects badly on the military I am sure your commanding officer will have comments to you about it, and it can and might affect your future promotions. It is a shame that as part of the military you do not have the same benefits of being an American citizen to disrespect your President and other elected officials, you have to wait until you leave the military service either thru ETS, retirement or disability. But then we were all taught about the UCMJ in boot camp and ignorance of the laws is not a defense.
I had posted a few comments before I attempted to post the above statement and when I attempted to post this statement I kept getting "you do not have permission to post to this wall" what did I make them mad?
Did they like not having facts pointed out to them, so much for "freedom" as long as they can declare their "freedoms" can't be trampled on, they turn around and prohibit disabled veterans from posting on their face book page, why?
Active duty troops can be associated with pictures of President Obama as "hitler" another poster with him labeled as a "socialist" disgusting photos and posters any active duty military that is posting on this site should be prosecuted by their chain of command, this goes beyond anything that should be allowed of serving military members and is hate speech to the President, the Speaker of the House and other elected officals.
I can think of many violations of the UCMJ on this facebook page and active duty member psoting on this and supporting it should be prosecuted, that is my two cents. Just think Fox news thinks this is a great site and is extolling it's benefits. I feel sorry for the military that are signing up to become members.
