Angry Tea Party members stormed into Washington DC today after the Senate failed for a second time to break the Republican filibuster of legislation to reform the Wall Street abuses that plunged the nation into the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression. And their fury intensified as revelations of the shady dealings of Goldman Sachs tumbled forth during a 11 hour Senate hearing that coincided with the ongoing filibuster.
"Who do those Senators think they’re representing?" demanded one elderly woman, who had lost over half her retirement savings when firms like Goldman Sachs pushed their ‘shitty deals’ onto the market while betting against them to make a killing during the crash. "I want my money back. And I want these scumbags who serve in Congress to start representing someone like me rather than Bernie Madoff!"
Waving signs that stated "Save Main Street, Not Wall Street" and "I Want My Retirement Account Back!" and "Hands Off My Retirement Account" the protesters were heard screaming "What’s wrong with you people, voting against reforming Wall Street... Did They PAY YOU OFF or something?!!!" as Senators returned from the failed vote that only garnered a 57% majority.
One protester went so far as to threaten members of Congress; "Wait until the November elections... you Wall Street lakeys are going to be run out of office!"
Well... at least you would think the Teabaggers are making plans for another rally because of such outrages... wouldn’t you?
