- Why did it take the US government so long to transfer environmental monitoring authority to NPR (resulting in the firing of all those useless regulators); couldn't they have seen the pure budgetary logic of it sooner?
- (Daily Double Entendre!) Why did Obama never actually utter the obvious "Great Job Birny," when he was at pressers with Liz Birnbaum, the clueless head of the MMS, and what took Ken Salazar so long to assume that position with Shell Oil's PR Agency?
DING DING DING!!! Special Corollary Question: Is there such a thing as Bernanke Syndrome (you know, like Stockholm Syndrome)?
- Why did BP seem to have had complete control of spill monitoring; was governmental oversight, by that point in history, already universally outsourced to the companies being monitored?
- (Daily Quadruple) Why weren't the three most senior officers of the Coast Guard - and the officer(s) directly in charge of cleanup and cleanup-monitoring operations - court marshalled for their brazen parroting of the BP line, up to the point of accepting their bogus spill rate estimates, twice; and for not even attempting to bring in expert witnesses to help them complete that estimating task in record time when the spill was announced, for the purposes of public safety for crissake; and for allowing the poisoning of, at the very least, the Gulf of Mexico and mid-Atlantic; and for encouraging the use of toxic dispersants (without consulting anyone except possibly dispersant manufacturers) which resulted in the the liquid poison-cloud being thoroughly driven into the entire Gulf/Atlanic water column.?
- Why didn't the Norther tier of the US states impose emergency immigration procedures after the Gulf died, weeding out Republicans, Fundamentalist Preachers, Politicians, humorless people, and Industry Shills, all of whom were arriving like a multi-delusional wave from their toxic homeland? (I mean, it's not like Constitutionality had any kind of cache' at the time.)
Compositional Note: I had a hard time deciding where #5 should go.
