Marc Emery, a Canadian marijuana legalization activist and is known around the world as the "Prince of Pot", has been ordered extradited to the USA for his political activism and philanthropy.
Since this past Monday, activists have been protesting and occupying Conservative Members of Parliament's offices in order to bring attention to the extradition matter of Mar Emery.
Free Marc Emery
Who says peaceful resistance is dead and who says Canadians are too laid back. This group of Canadian activists are demonstrating how to take your political disagreement right to the source. Starting this past Monday, Free Marc Emery and pro-marijuana activists have taken their protests directly to the Canadian Conservative Member's of Parliament's offices.
In the spirit of Martin Luther King and Ghandi, they are non-violent and non-confrontational protests with a twist. Imagine rolling a joint on any Member of US Congress' desk, well these activists are doing just that. Though legally they are allowed seeing they are medical marijuana patients in Canada and this is legal.
Cudos to these activists who are demonstrating how to get the point across when the Legislature decides it will not listen to the will of the people. We in the United States love to complain about our politicians but we do absolutely nothing to let them know how we truly feel.
Here is a lesson in activism.
