His show on MSNBC set a new low.
He had the greatest respect for Rand Paul..throughout his show.
He questioned whether President Obama could be a great President.
(Changed to ignored for a commenter and humor)
A little more after the fold.
Please send your opinions to Mr. Olberman and MSNBC. And Boycott! Most of it is at the end.
Matthews complimented Rand Paul for his commitment to principles and philosophy. He defended Paul repeatedly insisting Rand did not say he wanted to repeal Civil Rights. He never mentioned how Paul is now lying about his position on Civil Rights. Hey Chris, how is that Rand Paul integrity working for you?
Matthews' treatment of our President was particularly stunning. After a cut from Rush Limbaugh saying our President was causing civil war, Matthews then immediately questioned President Obama's ability to be President.
After yesterday's over the top hatchet job on Blumenthal I am done. DONE.
I guess it is Fineman's "inside information" that has led him astray but you need to have enough intellectual prowess to see when you are being spoon fed drivel.
Do I need to mention how completely wrong he was on Tuesday's election? Especially Pennsylvania! He swallowed the Republican talking points without question and regurgitated them on his show every day.
Let MSNBC know it is time for Matthews to go!
UPDATE
I watched the show again and became very concerned that I overreacted. The first 80% is probably one of his better shows. Also, the cut I remembered from Limbaugh was not clear. So I stand corrected.
However.
The Administration is not like the Vatican and just watching the gulf from afar.
The joke he made about Arizona was at the press dinner..and deserving unless you like the Arizona law.
But most importantly during "Let me Finish."
Rand Paul is not principled and philosophic libertarian..torn by his principles and discrimination by individuals.
Rand Paul really is a racist and this is a back door for discrimination. And the character flaw of Paul's willingness to lie and obfuscate about his real position(s) is another important point.
Matthews actually denied these two most important points about Rand Paul directly and indirectly. So I stand by my diary.
