WASHINGTON – Days after the Gulf Coast oil spill, the Obama administration pledged to keep its "boot on the throat" of BP to make sure the company did all it could to cap the gushing leak and clean up the spill.
But a month after the April 20 explosion, anger is growing about why BP PLC is still in charge of the response.

Obama Names Graham and Reilly to Oil Spill Commission
President Obama has tapped former Senator Bob Graham of Florida and William K. Reilly, the former administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, to lead a new bipartisan commission to figure out how to avoid another oil spill like the one in the Gulf of Mexico, officials said.
Mr. Obama plans to announce the creation of the seven-member commission in his weekly radio and Internet address on Saturday morning, said the officials, who insisted on anonymity to describe the decision before the president’s speech.

Im going crabbing tommorrow along the coast before the oil reaches us,wish me luck!!! But ive got to say that down here in southern Louisiana 4 out of 5 peaple either work for are have worked in the oil industry and to a man they all agree that the oil leak could of been stopped in about 2 DAYS!!! Think about this for a second why did they first try to close a valve? So they can open it!!! Why try to put a TOP HAT over it? To collect oil!!! Now they are trying to suck some of the oil up, and we all know that isnt working to well. They could just shut the leak down but it cost to much to drill again. Who do we blame? The oil company who are looking at cost only? Are the government for allowing this to go on for this long? Surely they know whats going on....
