Rand Paul, the GOP candidate for Bunning's seat, has generated a lot of comments here in the Bluegrass State.
The Louisville Courier Journal published two pages of comments. Excerts of those letters may be found below......
Hello DKos community!
Folks have wondered what the good people of Kentucky had to say about Rand Paul. He has certainly created a lot of discussion, to say the least. He blows my mind, to say the least. Apparently I am not alone here in KY. Below are excerpts of letters from today's Courier Journal .....

Clueless Paul
I'd like to take one of my red, white and blue boot heels to the throat of BP and the other red, white, and blue boot heel and shove it up their backsides for what they have done to poison the Gulf of Mexico. ...Your position in this matter leads me to think you would be a weak, ineffectual and clueless senator most unfit to serve this state and our country.
Out of Touch
....this man who has voiced his opposition to the ADA, Civil Rights Act, and Fair Housing Act, is more out of touch than any candidate I have ever encountered in person or in history books ......
Off the Ballot
Question: Is there any way Kentucky can get Rand Paul out of the election for the Senate? Almost as soon as I voted for him, I realized I mace a huge mistake......I suspect his money is ion the stocks of BP, coal mines or businesses that refuse to hire minorities.....
Term Limits for Dad?
Rand Paul is said to favor term limits for elected officials. Does this include his father who is serving his 11th term as a US representative from Texas?
GOP: Reject Paul
......and Paul thinks that owners of restaurants should be free to discriminate if they want to, although he personally abhors racism. Paul has shown his true nature. Fortunately, the great majority of Republicans has the wisdom to reject his vacuity
and will not vote for him in November.
.....and one for the candidate------
Rights for the Innocent
...Paul believes in civil rights for babies...how can you believe in civil rights for a chosen few but not for the innocent ones?
Paul believes in less government intrusion in our lives. ...We must ask ourselves if we want more socialism or do we want a free and moral government based on our Constitution. I guess the Courier Journal doesn't want that for it posted a
picture of Paul with big "Nope."
