Tomorrow, I go to the joint doctor. I had an MRI on my knee last Friday, because an old knee injury from a few years ago hadn't improved and my doc didn't know what to make of it. What is freaking me out is the verbiage from the MRI
"There is an unusual mass in the posterior intercondylar notch... this is an unusual finding". It measures about 1x1x1 inch. I don't like having a document with technical gibberish containing such a clear statement. In the summary, the radiologist says that this could be from an old injury, synovial sarcoma (!!!), an unusually located tumor, or fibroma, among other stuff. All the ligaments are fine, so I guess there's a silver lining.
I know at this point it doesn't do any good to worry, but god dammit I'm worried. I just want the evil junk out of my knee so I can go back to playing soccer without pain.
I'd appreciate any thoughts or experiences from others- my head is spinning.
