No details yet, but it's the banner headline on the NYTimes and Reuters has a single paragraph:

JERUSALEM

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has canceled plans to meet U.S. President Barack Obama in Washington on Tuesday, an Israeli statement said, in the wake of a deadly Israeli raid on Gaza-bound ships.
"Netanyahu decided to cut short his visit to Canada and return to Israel early," the statement said on Monday. Netanyahu has been in Canada since Friday for talks with government leaders.
Initial public WH reaction was very soft. Wonder what they said on the telephone...
Updates on flip
Reuters is also reporting that a UN Security Council meeting has been scheduled for later today, per Turkey's request. Ahmadenijad in Iran predictably believes the Israeli action will lead to the "demise" of the Jewish state.
Amr Musa of the Arab League says the attack demonstrates Israel's belief that it is above the law.
