- If the Republican Party has made any gains in the 2010 Congressional elections, conservatives and Republicans will look forward to recapturing the White House. They will be disappointed.
Obama will probably run again, and win again. If he's not able to run, the Democratic candidate will win.
Democrats will make Congressional gains. Politicians and the chattering classes will begin to realize that the United States does not have a permanent conservative majority.
- Republicans will make some gains in Congressional races. Conservatives and Republicans will look forward to recapturing the White House.
- The two-term limit will serve its original purpose: no clone of Franklin Delano Roosevelt will be eligible to run for President. Neither will Obama.
I'm fairly sure Joe Biden will not get the Democratic nomination. I don't know who will be nominated. But he (probably) will be elected.
- Republicans make some gains in Congressional races. However, they'll be less certain of getting back into the White House.
- The Democratic President will be re-elected. There will be much talk of a permanent liberal/Democratic majority.
And then, in one of the next few Presidential elections, the Republican candidate will win.
This Republican President will be different from anyone today's Republican Party might nominate.
