This is another one of these things. You probably know what to expect by now. If you are new these diaries are posted to provide a brief respite from the stuggles of the day and as a reminder that we share this small planet with all matter of fantastic critters. Of course these days it is impossible not to to thing about the impacted life forms in the gulf when looking at photos of marine creatures.

Star Shrimp
A tiny little creature that lives on the surface of the cushion star. If you look closely you can see its tranluscent legs and pincers.

Snow Goddess Nudibranch
The scientific name is Glossodoris poliahu after Poli'ahu, the Hawaiian Snow Goddess, sister of the volcano goddess Pele.

Tom Smith's Nudibranch
Easy to see the basic structure with frilly gills on the left and two sensory organs (rhynophores) on the right.
