Well, it happened. Team USA lost to Ghana (GHANA of all places!!) in the World Cup. Once again, our President stands idly by dithering while America undergoes another major embarrassment on the world stage.
George W. Bush would NEVER have let this happen. He would have showed up in South Africa in a flight suit, grabbed his megaphone, and given Team USA a rousing pep talk. Then he would have installed a missile defense system in Guinea, and would have let Ghana’s leaders know exactly what they could expect if they did anything anathema to America’s best interests!
But NO, not Barrack Obama. Not even the prospect of losing a World Cup game could warm the ice water flowing through his veins. How to explain it? Well, for starts, notice that Obama almost rhymes with Ghana. Then, there’s that pesky little fact that Ghana is on the same continent as Obama’s birthplace of Kenya – although geographically located well to the LEFT of Kenya, and thus no doubt the beneficiary of more favorable treatment than Obama’s own homeland.
Face it folks. We’ve got at least 2 and ½ more years watching American’s status in the world decline. It’s gotten so bad even Russian President Medvedev visits the White House and feels no need to upstage the President. And General McChrystal resigns rather than give his Commander in Chief the opportunity to fire him. Obama’s weakness is palpable. Even dimwits like RedState's Eric Erickson and Moe Lane can find reasons to criticize him (Oh, wait. They’ve never needed reasons). Next thing you know, Obama will be giving BP back their $20 billion. 2012 can’t come soon enough!
UPDATE: WOW. First time on the rec list. Thanks folks.
