The folks where I work, the Democratic National Committee, whipped up a fifty-second web video last week. It pointed out Republicans’ tight hug of big oil, Wall Street and health insurers—and made clear that Republicans would continue that coziness if they got the keys to Congress.
That clip turned into one of the most talked about videos we’ve done, and we heard feedback on Daily Kos and elsewhere asking us to make the video short enough to put on television. We heard you loud and clear—so we hunkered down on our end and made it happen.
We need your help to get it on the air.
Watch the ad you made after the jump …
When Republicans in Congress head home during the Fourth of July recess, voters in their districts need to know where they stand: with big oil, health insurers and Wall Street. The GOP worked all out to stop the Affordable Care Act. Joe Barton, the House Energy Committee’s top Republican, apologized to BP last week for White House efforts to hold the company accountable.
Just today, John Boehner—the House Republican leader, who would become Speaker if Republicans took over the House—likened the financial crisis that wrecked the economy and left millions unemployed to an ant.
This is what Republicans believe. This is how they govern. Americans need to know that. Pitch in and help us get that message on the air:

Thanks much for the inspiration—and thanks in advance for getting this on television.
