I'm shocked and dismayed. After reading Kos' post about the fraudulent survey work done by R2K, I began thinking about all the surveys in which I've participated. Frequently, I rejoiced to find out that my feelings and opinions closely matched others - sometimes, I rejoiced because I was a right-thinking person, while so many others were clearly wrong.
But, now I'm concerned...
Five days a week I participate in the BiPM Cheers & Jeers survey. I'd always assumed that they accurately reflected the views and opinions of the Greater Kos Community.
But now that I look back I can see that too many times the most popular answers were things like "Maine" and "Rum and Coke" and "Take a Vacation to Florida." How could I have been so blind.
And so, for now, I'm going to boycott all the BiPM surveys until I can be assured of their objectivity and fairness.
Or Bill could ship me a case of rum. I'm not too proud to be bought.
