Yousef says he started working with Shin Bet after witnessing Hamas brutalities in prison that left him disillusioned.
Yousef is the son of one of Hamas's founders and was exposed to the inner circle of Hamas. He helped provide intelligence to Israel and, as a result, Israel was able to avoid several potentially disastrous suicide bombings.
I've been reading Yousef's book, Son of Hamas, although I'm not too far into it (22% according to the Kindle app on my new iPad). It's very well written, and seems to be a story that would be appreciated by both the pro-I and anti-I crowds on dkos.
It would be a tragedy if our US government did not give asylum to this brave hero, and we gave Hamas the ability to execute him.
