I'm Zach Rodvold, Campaign Manager for Tarryl Clark's campaign for Congress.
I have some exciting news to share – news that is only made possible by the strength of our grassroots support from people like you.
Today, our campaign announced that we have now raised over $2 million in our effort to defeat Congresswoman Michele Bachmann, including just over $910,000 in the 2nd quarter of 2010 alone – including over $190,000 raised online!
To put this in perspective, no previous Minnesota congressional challenger has ever topped the million dollar mark by this point in the campaign. We matched and then doubled that record – and we did it with a grassroots fundraising base now over 24,000 individual donors strong. These are amazing numbers.
Thanks to the support of this unprecedented effort, we are able to continue to air the first television ad of the campaign holding Congresswoman Bachmann accountable for her inexcusable defense of British Petroleum – and we recently doubled-down with targeted 15-second versions of the ad online.
It's because of our tens of thousands of donors, supporters and volunteers – and all of you – that we will be able to keep the pressure on Bachmann. It’s how we’ll keep breaking records. And it’s how we will win in November.
Of course, Congresswoman Bachmann is likely to announce a multi-million dollar haul this quarter thanks to $500 per plate dinners and $10,000 photo ops with celebrities like Sarah Palin - but we have you, a grassroots army of tens of thousands of supporters online and on the ground, and we are just getting started.
Thanks for your continued support.
