I don't have a lot of great research or even opinion on this. But, OMG, I'm laughing my ass off at his Facebook Fans again! There's nothing that gets them going more than Scotty acting like a moderate New England Republican. And the news is just reaching them that Sen. Scott Brown (R-MA) intends to vote for the Financial Reform Bill.
First Read has the story.
And here's Scott Brown's statement:
I've spent the past week reviewing the Wall Street reform bill. I appreciate the efforts to improve the bill, especially the removal of the $19 billion bank tax. As a result, it is a better bill than it was when this whole process started. While it isn't perfect, I expect to support the bill when it comes up for a vote. It includes safeguards to help prevent another financial meltdown, ensures that consumers are protected, and it is paid for without new taxes. That doesn't mean our work is done. Further reforms are still needed to address the government's role in the financial crisis, including significant changes to the way Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac operate."
And now for my favorite part -- Scott Brown's Facebook Fans!
Mary Jo P I just heard the news. He's gonna vote for it. Next he and his daughter will be playin'
B-Ball with Barack. Politics is a rotten game. What happened to the "people's seat"?
:-( :-(
Liz Oldham Featherstone Well, Scotty me boy, you are on your own in your next election. Take me off of your mailing list. You will not want to see what my reply to your request for $$ will be.
Matthew Bowdish Every time I read an article showing Senator Brown supporting this democrat party proposal or another, I feel like a sucker. I actually gave this guy my hard-earned money and thought that he would actually act differently than a Kennedy would. Well, now I realize that the joke is on me and every other rube who thought Scott Brown was different. He isn't.
Kaletyo Rogers Scotty, how much did the chicago thug administration pay you for your support on the finance reform bill. You are about to ruin any chances for re-election by this vote. WE THE PEOPLE, will see to your defeat. America are standing together against this Socialist Marxist agenda The Resident in the White House is pushing. WE THE PEOPLE, are coming.
I was distraught, angry, and upset when Scott Brown won that Senate seat in the state where I was born and raised. Little did I know that he'd end up providing me with endless amusement from his pea-brained "supporters" from around the nation who thought that by giving to him and calling MA voters that they'd somehow undone President Obama's election and elected a brand new totally white President who's a teabagger, just like them. And he played them for fools! I could almost like this guy just for that.
