OK, this may be simplistic, but I am curious as to the number of us who are making calls to extend unemployment. These senators listen--in theory anyway--to the letters, calls, faxes they get. So let them hear from us in a VERY BIG WAY today. It may make a difference to someone you know.

So let them hear from us in the progressive community!
I couldn't get through on the DC phone number for Ben Nelson. (202-224-6551)--it rang and rang and then just stopped. They did answer at the Lincoln NE phone number (402-441-4600).
Please call. We have read the painful and sad dairies and comments of folks who can't find jobs, for whom UI is the very thin thread by which they hang on--this is the one thing we all can do today. Make a call and ask for his vote to extend UI for those in need.
Also, call Harry Reid in DC (202-224-3542) In Reno (775-686-5750) or Carson City (775-882-7343).
Call the White House--comment line (202-456-1111) ask for WH leadership on this issue--now!
Call your state's senators--even if you think they are a solid Yes vote, let them know you are paying attention. Finally, post comments of what you learned, heard and said. Remember, as frustrated as we are, when we call, politeness counts.
