Yesterday, the LA Times published an opinion piece from David Klinghoffer of the Discovery Institute. It is the epitome of the poker "tell" for the strife we will see in the GOP going forward. Creationist Klinghoffer said this about the New Right Teabaggers -
With its descent to baiting blacks, Mexicans and Muslims, its accommodation of conspiracy theories and an increasing nastiness and vulgarity, the conservative movement has undergone a shift toward demagoguery and hucksterism. Once the talk was of "neocons" versus "paleocons." Now we observe the rule of the crazy-cons.

That's right. The spittle-wafting Birther set is jabbing the nerves of Creationists!
Andrew Breitbart is a "Crazy-Con"! The unholy Reagan alliance of do-gooder well-meaning Christians, bluebloods, and greasy-headed redneck racists is under siege from within!
But Klinghoffer goes on -
"If we feel that creation does not express purpose, it is impossible to find an authorization for purpose in our lives." A life without real purpose is likely to be anxious, restless, prone to bitterness and suspicion. The goal of conservatism was to restore to men and women a metaphysical dream that allows for ultimate meaning in our existence.
Well, welcome to reality, pal! As an Existentialist (I know only that I exist and will make of myself what I can on my own) I see that you think - that I have no purpose other than the one your god assigned me! Well, you are completely wrong!
I don't need YOU to stare into the abyss for me!
And YOUR goal is to restore MY "metaphysical dream"? That is preposterous! You assume we share a common outcome or even a dream!
So -
Weaver compared his role to a doctor diagnosing an illness. It is not enough to want to treat the symptoms — in this case, of our demoralized, dispirited culture.
Speak for yourself, pal! I am NOT "ill"!
I love our culture! It is the best thing about America! Pearl Jam, Tom Waits, TS Eliot, Louis Armstrong, Scorsese, etc?
These assholes only assume us "non-Christians" are "dispirited"!
Once more - I learn that us evolutionists are no angels
Now humans were reduced to mere animals.
.
Well, Hell Yes!
I love my animal partners in Earth!
This essay told me everything about the magical nonsense thinking of conservatives and their Hollow Men alliance.
Breitbart, Crazy-Cons, and Creationists - you can kiss my Existentialist ass.
