I caught a link to this on Alternet a minute ago:

The "Digg Patriots"
Alternet:have just been caught red-handed in a widespread campaign of censorship, having multiple accounts, upvote padding, and deliberately trying to ban progressives. An undercover investigation has exposed this effort, which has been in action for more than one year.

I don't use Digg so I can't share the frustration of the honest users. I like to think it means that the conservative philosophy can't win honestly.
[a] conservative group that has become so organized and influential that they are able to bury over 90% of the articles by certain users and websites submitted within 1-3 hours, regardless of subject material... by doing this, this one group is removing the ability of the community as a whole to judge the merits or interest of these stories on their own (in essence: censoring content).

The article has more details, elaborating that this tactic is a gross violation of Digg's TOS and citing examples of the Digg members in question as they discuss ways to lie or entrap us, their "opponents" with the goal of getting them/us banned from the site. There is also a list of the Digg users involved.
If you use Digg, I hope you'll forward this article to the admins, and urge them to investigate or disable the accounts named and to prevent such manipulation of their service. It occurs to me that perhaps they could scan for occurrences of votes and IP addresses manifesting in coincidence.
