Two weeks ago, our campaign announced General Wes Clark's endorsement of Heather Beaven in FL-7. However, this week, the General called on supporters to take one more step in supporting Heather before the September 30th financial deadline.
General Clark said:
I proudly endorsed Heather and her candidacy for Congress; and I know she has what it takes to get there. Polls show a clear path to victory, and Heather’s first commercial is already on the air to great reviews. Without your help, her bought-and-sold opponent will continue to help his Republican friends sell this country off to the highest bidder.
Let’s put an end to it. Join me so America can triumph over the self-serving. Contribute today. This is a battle we cannot afford to lose.
As Beaven for Congress nears 500 online contributors on ActBlue and almost $100,000 total raised online, we're calling on supporters to join with General Clark and all the others who are supporting Navy Veteran Heather Beaven in her congressional race. Even a $7 contribution for Florida's 7th District will go a long way in continuing our grassroots efforts and GOTV.
General Clark also talked about Heather's life of service to her community:
At twelve years old, Heather began volunteering at a local nursing home. As a freshman in college, she became a volunteer firefighter. While serving in the Navy, she volunteered as a sexual assault and domestic violence counselor. While working fulltime and attending graduate school at night, she volunteered for the overnight shift at an urban hospital as a trauma victims’ advocate. While her new husband was away at Ft. Leonard Wood, she volunteered as a respite caregiver for Hospice.
In short, Heather has always chosen to serve others. That is why she has my full support.
This is a battle we must win. With just a few days until the September 30th fundraising deadline, there are a lot of candidates and causes getting attention. Help an "outstanding woman" as the General says with just a small online contribution and help push us to victory. For the full General Clark letter, click here.
