Former Trailblazer center, Chris Dudley (R), and former emergency room physician and two-term Oregon governor, John Kitzhaber (D), are meeting face-to-face for tonight's debate.

A little background on the race and these two candidate can be found over the fold:
Kitzhaber: Was governor of Oregon from 1995-2003. State Senate President from 1985-1992. Emergency room physician educated at University of Oregon Medical School (now OHSU). Shares my birthday, 5 March.
Dudley: 14 year professional basketball player in the NBA, including a few seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers (1994-1997, 2002-2003). Career free-throw % = 41.2%
Before this starts, latest polls has Dudley leading Kitzhaber by 5% with a MoE of ±2% and 7% of polled, likely voters as undecided.
