Christine O'Donnell's recent kerfuffle about 'having classified information' about 'China seeking to take over the US' has raised the question about what classified information and who gave it to her and does she have the clearance needed, but there is an aspect, a darker aspect, to the story.
The danger in China's treatment of Christians, particularly missionaries.
O'Donnell claims that she got her 'classified' information from Christian missionaries in China. Now, 'classified' implies a governmental action (only governments can classify information under national security regulations). So if Christian missionaries in China have provided her with 'classified information,' the implication a paranoid Chinese government can take is that Christian missionaries are spies.
If Christine O'Donnell is so supportive of those Christians, why is she endangering them? If she really wants to keep them safe, she should tell the truth -- those 'impressions' of China are NOT 'classified,' and that 'information' is merely the impression of those missionaries.
Sorry this diary is so short, but I think it's an aspect of the story that no one has considered, and a dangerous aspect brought about by a scatter-brained loud-mouth candidate. She should be ashamed.
